HOME-START SURREY HEATH - MAYOR'S CHARITY OF THE YEAR
We were delighted that after having attended 2010's AGM, the then Deputy Mayor, Tim Dodds, was so enthused by one of our volunteers' impassioned talk on her role as a volunteer, once he was inaugurated as Mayor of Surrey Heath this year, he chose us as one of his charities of the year, along with Christopher's Smile.

The family group is currently being held on a Wednesday morning from about 10-11.30am at Deepcut Garrison Community Hall. The group is run by Joanna McKenzie and volunteers and is a warm welcoming place for parents and little ones to meet. Joanna arranges a different craft activity each week for everyone to join in on and there are plenty of toys and games for the children, while Mum or Dad can enjoy a cuppa and a chat. We are short on volunteers to help at the group. Please contact us if you would like any further information about joining the group, or can help at all.
